How long should a wood floor last?
A 6mm veneer that can be sanded back should outlive you. It comes down to the product you choose.
The short answer
The question is how long should a floor last? That really all depends on what type of floor you are putting down.
Here we are with an engineered floor. This particular product is brushed and lacquered. Brushed meaning that if you have any of your daily scratches, they are going to be more hidden. Being lacquered, you could spill your wine, your coffee and anything, and you can just wipe that straight up and it will be fine.
This particular floor has got a 6mm veneer layer, so really it should be outliving anyone alive today. Because you can refinish that and sand it down.
